Dr. Joe McCarthy - Veterinarian

Dr. Joe McCarthy, MVB is originally from West Cork, Ireland, and moved to Colorado in January 2026 to continue his veterinary career.

He grew up on a family farm in rural West Cork and has worked with animals his entire life. He completed an undergraduate degree in Animal Science before earning his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (MVB) from University College Dublin. Dr. McCarthy previously worked in Galway in a mixed animal practice, gaining broad clinical experience across both small and large animal medicine. He has a strong clinical interest in surgery, diagnostic ultrasound, and internal medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. McCarthy enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. He has a strong interest in sport and looks forward to taking full advantage of Colorado’s outdoor environment. He is committed to providing high-quality, practical veterinary care.
